The Burda Advertising Center has developed an attention-grabbing ad-special for its customer BMW.

In close collaboration with the creative agency Jung von Matt and the planning agency Mediaplus, Hubert Burda Media came up with the idea of playfully directing the reader’s eye to the ad motif for the new BMW 3 Series through the use of cut-outs in the preceding pages. The reader virtually looks through two pages in the current FOCUS (9/2005) and discovers the leitmotif of the new BMW campaign behind the cut-outs. Wolfgang Dufner, head of Burda 4c Plus, explains his concept as follows: “If you want to be remembered in today’s world, it is crucial to get your message across through advertising, while at the same time enabling the reader to experience it through several senses.”
